In an interview with MWN, Tom Gardner, FIFA’s Football Performance Insights team leader, said they work with the Technical Study Group to understand emerging trends in U-17 women’s football.
“We’ve seen huge growth in the last 5–10 years, and with data from 2022, 2024, and now into 2025, we’re able to benchmark trends and show how the game is growing and developing globally.”
Gardner added it’s “fantastic to see the development work” in Morocco and to understand how Morocco’s performance benchmarks against global standards.
