Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) unveils the fourth edition of the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award during Global Food Week, featuring four main categories and a total prize pool of AED 10 million ($2.7 million) to recognize outstanding farmers, breeders, and agricultural innovators across the UAE.
“We are celebrating the fourth edition of this award, which features four main categories dedicated to outstanding farmers and breeders,” Buthaina Ahmed Sanqoor, Member of the Supreme Committee, told Morocco World News.
The program highlights excellence in farming practices, livestock management, commercial operations, and women’s contributions to agriculture.
“The Sheikh Mansour Award continues to support and promote local products and recognizes distinguished farmers and breeders who play a vital role in strengthening the nation’s food security ecosystem,” Sanqoor explains.
This year’s edition aligns with the UAE’s Year of Community 2025, expanding participation opportunities for youth and women.
The award program includes five flagship festivals at Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba and 77 specialized competitions covering agricultural products, food innovation, and sustainable practices.
“The total value of prizes for this year’s edition reaches 10 million UAE dirhams, covering all main categories and sub-competitions,” adds Sanqoor, inviting participants to register by December 15.
