African Transport Leaders Call for Stronger Continental Connectivity at LOGITERRE 2025

Dr. Kasim Ibrahim Bateya, former president of the Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners and the first deputy president of the African Union of Transport and Logistics Organization, highlighted the vital link between connectivity and prosperity.

He noted that Africa’s prosperity depends on better rules, more support from the government, and more cooperation between countries in the area. “Our young men and women won’t have to leave the continent to find opportunities until we connect African countries,” he said

His message was in line with the forum’s main goal: to turn Africa’s vast resources and potential into a single, self-sustaining transportation network.
