Erfoud’s Premier Date Cooperative Showcases Morocco’s Finest Varieties in Abu Dhabi

Difat Ziz, representing 31 cooperatives from Morocco’s Erfoud region, presents their premium Mejhoul, Feggous, and Bouslikhen dates at Abu Dhabi’s International Exhibition for Agricultural Products and Dates. “We have had the honor to participate in this international exhibition,” Radouane Sadoq told Morocco World News.

The organization operates a comprehensive production chain “from seedlings all the way to the production of dates,” providing essential services including “date cleaning, packaging, fumigation, and storage” to support member cooperatives.

With previous exhibition experience in France, Jordan, and Egypt, Difat Ziz aims to expand their international presence. “We hope this experience will be an addition to our unit so we can continue to present the local product of the Kingdom of Morocco,” Sadoq explained.

Sadoq stressed the historic significance of their region: “Everyone knows that Mejhoul is considered the best date variety globally. The Erfoud area is the nucleus from which this crop originated and spread throughout all regions of the world.”
